Team Sydhavsøerne – More Than Handball
Team Sydhavsøerne was established in 2003 and is today the leading organisation for elite men’s handball in the Lolland-Falster and South Zealand region.
Based at Lollands Bank ARENA in Maribo, Team Sydhavsøerne has a strong sporting setup with teams competing in the Danish 1st and 2nd Divisions, as well as an ambitious talent development programme with U17 and U19 teams. Our goal is to provide the best possible environment for developing both local talent and elite-level handball.
But Team Sydhavsøerne is much more than handball.
The club is also one of the region’s leading business platforms, bringing together around 300 business partners through two strong and well-established business networks. Companies and decision-makers from across the region meet through handball, networking events, pre-match hospitality, company visits, concerts, events and a wide range of other activities.
With strong roots in Lolland-Falster and a growing network across South Zealand, Team Sydhavsøerne aims to create relationships, business opportunities and memorable experiences that provide genuine value for our partners.
Team Sydhavsøerne is built around three core values: Perseverance – Community – Development. These values apply both on and off the handball court and are reflected throughout our organisation and in our relationships with partners, volunteers, supporters and local handball clubs.
Our long-term sporting ambition is clear: to build a strong and sustainable foundation that will enable Team Sydhavsøerne to take the next step and ultimately compete in Denmark’s top handball league.
At the same time, we will continue to develop our organisation and business networks and strengthen our position as a regional hub connecting elite sport, businesses and strong local relationships.
