For centuries, Hotel Saxkjøbing has been a natural and welcoming gathering place for people from near and far. Located in the centre of the town square, close to the fjord, the hotel has deep roots in the soil of Lolland. The listed, historic buildings have been carefully restored so that the restaurant, lounge, banqueting hall, courtyard and some of the rooms are both modern and timeless.

Chef and entrepreneur Claus Meyer took over the hotel in 2006, and our skilled and dedicated staff are responsible for the meals and good hospitality. Our modern restaurant kitchen is based on collaborations with local farms, fishermen and food producers.

The hotel has a total of 32 rooms, all with shower and toilet. The rooms have different categories, from completely refurbished to cosy and charming older rooms.

The hotel has several options for holding small to large meetings, in rooms that are all distinctive in their own right, including the large theatre hall, which is equipped with a large screen and a professional sound system - the hall can accommodate up to 250 guests.

The hotel also has its own bakery, café and farm shop, where the small cosy lounges provide a relaxed atmosphere to unwind, sit and work or meet with colleagues after a long day at work.
